My name is Alisha K. Ard. I am an artist working from my home studio so I don't miss out on watching my 2 small children grow.
Art has been a vital part of my life since childhood. For six years after college I applied my art and photography skills to graphic and web design before deciding to focus exclusively on studio art. My art work is inspired by both my photography and the objects that surround me in my daily life. I work primarily in acrylics for my realism paintings, and in pen and ink for my pointillism works.
I love to create - to draw, to paint, to watch a blank canvas evolve into a work of art. Painting soothes a restlessness in my soul. In each piece, I do my best to capture the essence of what initially drew me to the subject - be it a vibrant hue, the soft caress of light, or the striking angles of a structure.
